Check post attacked: Two levies officials killed in Kurram

The official said after the incident, heavy contingents of levies and security officials rushed to the site.

Two officials of the Kurram Levies were killed and an official of the political administration severely injured when unidentified militants opened fire at a levies check post in Lower Kurram Agency on Monday.



An official of the political administration from Sadda, headquarters of Lower Kurram, said militants opened fire at the check post in Mangak early morning, killing two levies personnel on the spot and injuring a political administration official.

The official said after the incident, heavy contingents of levies and security officials rushed to the site and launched a search operation, however, no one was arrested.

The official identified the deceased as Shoaib Hussain Turi and Warekhmin Khan Afridi while the injured, Mir Alam Turi, was taken to Sadda Headquarters Hospital from where he was referred to a hospital in Peshawar.
