First visit in 30 years: President to tour Nigeria next week
Total trade volume between both countries recently went from $30.677m in 2011-2012 to $67.361m in 2012-2013.

President Mamnoon Hussain will undertake an official visit to Nigeria from June 9 to 12 which was earlier scheduled for April but was postponed. Foreign Office spokesperson while giving details of the visit said it would be the first presidential visit from Pakistan to Nigeria in last three decades. During his stay in Abuja the president would have one-on-one meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan which would be followed by delegation level talks. “The President’s visit to Nigeria will give a new impetus to our trade relations,” said the spokesperson. The president would also be addressing the Business Forum in Abuja and in Lagos. The total volume of trade between the two countries almost doubled recently from earlier $30.677 million in 2011-2012 to $67.361 million in 2012-2013.
