Mou signed: China to assist with power plants

CM assures the delegation for full administrative facilities to help ensure timely completion.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has welcomed the Dong Fang Electric Corporation (DEC) for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its counterpart organisation J-Energy SSRL at a local hotel in Karachi to set up two coal-based power plants each with the capacity of 220MW at Port Qasim Karachi.


Shah revealed this while holding a meeting with the delegation of Dang Fang Electric Corporation (DEC) at CM House on Thursday.


“This mutual interest of the organisations would not only bring hundreds millions of dollars worth of investment in Sindh, but will also cater to Thar coal as well.”

The chief minister assured the Chinese power generating organisation for full administrative facilities to help ensure timely completion.
