"We will not let miscreants forcibly shut business and shops in Karachi," said Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Thursday, who visited various markets in the city to ensure that they remained open.
Shah, along with PPP MPAs Sharjeel Memon and Dr Sikandar Mandhro and his special assistants Waqar Mehdi and Rashid Rabbani, also visited the Sindh secretariat and various police stations.
The chief minister directed the police IG and the Rangers DG to take action against those who tried to close the city forcibly. He directed the law enforcement agencies forces to provide full protection to traders, businessmen, shopkeepers and transporters at all costs.
