‘Robber’ killed: Three police officials booked in Chota Lahor

A case was filed on Wednesday against a sub-inspector and two constables following the orders of a court in Chota Lahor for killing an alleged robber in Bika area of the district a few days ago.
On Monday night, police raided the house of Idrees Khan and killed him.
Later, a report filed at the police station stated that the slain man was a robber and was killed during an encounter with the police.
After learning of the incident, residents of Manki and Yar Hussain protested against the police on Tuesday and Wednesday, with hundreds of people blocking Swabi-Jehangira Road, chanting slogans against the police.
On Wednesday, cases were filed against sub-inspector Shafiq and two constables, whose names could not be ascertained, while the case was forwarded to a sessions judge in Chota Lahor.
