Convocation: State minister urges youth to explore new avenues

Minister of State for Education, Trainings and Standards in Higher Education Muhammad Baleeghur Rehman has urged the youth to explore avenues to steer the country out of challenges.
“The youth should adopt technological ways and means for tackling challenges and need to shun traditional ways,” said Rehman while addressing the 18th convocation of Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology on Tuesday.
He distributed degrees among 304 students of BSc, 30 MSc students and nine PhDs.
Rehman lauded the institute’s performance, saying it has produced quality engineers.
“If the country needs to stand in the comity of developed nations, we will have to make our educational system meet the standards of science and technology along with modern needs,” he added.
