Panjgur strike: Uncertainty prevails among students
Parents have expressed hope that when the schools reopen after summer break the issue would have been resolved.

Uncertainty prevails among parents and students of Panjgur as private schools, closed on May 7 in the aftermath of threats by a vague militant outfit, could not be reopened. Parents have expressed hope that when the schools reopen after a three-month summer break the issue would have been resolved. District Police Officer (DPO) Panjgur, Dr Sameeullah talking to APP on Sunday said two policemen and one levy personnel would be deployed at each school for security. Some 20,000 students suffered loss of schooling since May 7, when the schools were closed for security reason after a newly surfaced militant outfit Tanzeem-ul-Islami-ul-Furqan (TIF) threatened to target private schools, especially the English learning centres imparting co-education. The civil society, politicians and NGOs in their protests lashed out at elements active to hamper girls’ education.
