Fata, Balochistan situation: PM chairs high-level meeting
Nawaz appreciated the improved coordination within the law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Balochistan.
ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review security situation in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Balochistan. The meeting was attended by Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Director General ISI Lt Gen Zahirul Islam, Chief of General Staff Lt Gen Ashfaq Nadeem and other officials. The interior minister briefed the meeting about the status of raising of rapid response forces at the federal and provincial levels. Nawaz appreciated the improved coordination within the law enforcement and intelligence agencies in Balochistan and resultant improvement in law and order situation there.
