KPK budget: Social sectors given priority, says minister

Minister adds provincial government would provide equal funds to all districts of the province.

PESHAWAR: Provincial Finance Minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Sirajul Haq said that the provincial government has given high priority to social sectors in the budget 2014-15, keeping in line with its growth-oriented role to bring improvement in  the lives of people. Addressing a pre-budget  consultative workshop, the minister said that the provincial government would provide equal funds  to all districts of the province and priority to social sectors including education, health and environment.  He said that Pakistan would be made into  an Islamic welfare state as envisioned by our forefathers where every person has access to a quality education, better health services and is able to get dignified jobs.
