Four members of a family died after inhaling poisonous gas in a well in Mithial area of Jand Tehsil of Attock District.
According to the police, Nisar Abbas went down the well at his house on Tuesday morning to change the oil in the water pump installed inside and fell unconscious because of poisonous gas accumulated there.
His relatives Zahid, Waris and Zakir, who were standing near the well, went down after him to help, but all of them also fell unconscious.
All four men died in the well. Later, Rescue 1122 Attock personnel reached the spot and recovered the bodies from the well.
