Sangeeta is more like a dadi now: Meera’s rebuttal

Meera believes that this is a cheap attempt to seek attention and such statements display lack of maturity.

Pakistani actor Meera, who is always the centre of controversy, is reported to have retorted bluntly to veteran actor Sangeeta’s recent suggestion that Meera should play roles that suit her age bracket. Meera says that Sangeeta should abstain from exhibiting such childlike behaviour and that the underlying motive for passing such a statement was to gain popularity.

Meera believes that this is a cheap attempt to seek attention and such statements display lack of maturity.

The 37-year-old actor says that Sangeeta should, in fact, consider her own age and act accordingly. “Sangeeta is more like a grandmother now and she should act maturely,” she adds, reported Roznama Express.

Meera further remarks that Sangeeta has played an important part in the destruction of the Pakistani film industry. She suggests that the veteran actor should leave this profession permanently and focus on praying and repentance. Meera reckons that the film industry should indeed be left for the young generation to lead instead of the older who are leading to its defamation.

However, the question remains; which generation of actors does Meera place herself in?
