Army chief visits South Waziristan
The army chief meets troops and reviews the operations going on in the agency.

Just days after the Pakistan army carried out airstrikes in Waziristan, Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Shareef arrived in South Waziristan on Tuesday, Express News reported.
The army chief visited field formations and reviewed the operations going on in the agency.
Sharif met the troops in South Waziristan and was also given a briefing on the security situation in the agency.
The airstrikes, which began about a week ago in North Waziristan have resulted in more than 80 people, mostly militants, being killed in the targeted operation. Around 100 people have also been injured in the operation and many have been arrested by security forces backed by helicopter gunships, tanks and heavy artillery.
