Clarification: Annual inspection is routine says NAB
Annual internal inspection is a routine/periodic activity which is in progress.
This is in reference to the news item ‘NAB to probe charges against Punjab DG’ published on May 26. No such complaint has been submitted to NAB chairman against the director general, nor any inquiry team from NAB headquarters has been deputed to visit NAB Punjab to probe any such complaint. Annual internal inspection is a routine/periodic activity which is in progress and the inspection team is tasked to visit each regional bureau one by one to monitor implementation of the standard operating procedures and other operational instructions issued by the NAB HQ. Accordingly, inspection and monitoring team after completing its at NAB Sindh will now be visiting NAB Punjab.
