Unpaid dues: K-electric threatens to disconnect power supply to police

Sends letter to IG Police Sindh, according to which police owes more than Rs1.276b to the power company.

KARACHI: Writing a letter to IG Police Sindh, K-electric threatened to disconnect the power supply to the police if the money that they owed to the power company was not paid within the next two days, Express News reported on Monday.

K-electric had given a final warning on May 20 to the police, giving them a week to pay their dues.

According to the letter, the police owes more than Rs1.276 billion to K-electric.

Copies of the letter have also been sent to the energy department, police department as well as secretary finance.
