ISLAMABAD:

Speaking on the exclusion of Pakistan players in the Indian Premier League (IPL), off-spinner Saeed Ajmal feels that the Board of Cricket Control in India and the organisers should give the issue some consideration.

“There are former Pakistani cricketers, umpires and coaches all present in the IPL,” he said.

“The only thing missing are the players. Anyway this is something for the authorities to sort out, as I would definitely like to have an opportunity to play in the IPL.”

Ajmal also stated that Pakistan have the potential to defeat India in the world championships and they will settle the score in the upcoming 2015 World Cup.

Meanwhile, when asked whether he would like being a Twenty20 captain, Saeed Ajmal said he has never really bothered about captaining any team.

“I like to play my cricket with a relaxed mindset and captaincy doesn’t allow you to do that in my opinion. I don’t want my hair to turn grey so quick,” he said.
