Explosion and firing in Quetta Civil Hospital

QUETTA: A blast was reported outside the civil hospital in Quetta on Friday morning that killed a private TV cameraman and injured many others.

According to initial reports, many casualties are feared including the journalists. No official confirmation however has been received yet. Security personnel have reached the spot to secure the area.

Earlier, two unidentified men have gunned down a manager of a private bank at Qandhari Road in Quetta and people have gathered to protest the incident when the incident occurred.

Sources report that the Bank Manager Ashraf Zaidi reached the main entrance of his bank when two armed men opened fire on him. The attackers were reportedly positioned right outside the bank awaiting Zaidi's arrival.

Zaidi was shot in the head and chest. The attackers fled the scene.

Ashraf Zaidi was the son a famous religious leader of Quetta. This is the 12th incident of target killing in Quetta in this month alone.
