Shahid Hayat’s removal: Rashid asks CM Sindh to review decision
Minister says Shahid Hayat was a good police officer and was selected by the Sindh government.
ISLAMABAD:
Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said the Sindh chief minister should review the matter of removal of police officer Shahid Hayat.
He said Shahid Hayat was a good police officer and was selected by the Sindh government. He said it was opinion of all sections of society that in the last 11 months, Shahid Hayat performed remarkably and he should remain at his post so that operation in Karachi could be taken to its logical conclusion. The Sindh government removed him on the basis of a court order, although it should not have been done, he said adding the post of AIG Karachi in grade 20/21 could be a floating post.
He said the Sindh government showed irresponsible behaviour in this matter and the Sindh CM should review the decision.
