Paedophile: Child raped at farmer’s dera

FAISALABAD: A 7-year-old girl was raped by a farmer on Friday. Dijkot police told journalists that the man, a resident of Chak 236-RB, had abducted the girl and raped her at his dera. The girl’s father told journalists that his daughter was playing in front of their house when the accused lured her by promising her candies. He took her to his dera where he raped her. Hearing her screams, neighbours gathered in the area.

The man left the girl there and fled. She was taken to a hospital where doctors later said her condition was out of danger. City Police Officer Haidar Ashraf said they had arrested the man and registered a case against him. “We are waiting for the medico-legal report after which further action will be taken,” he said.
