New appointment: Dr Zaheer to become UHS registrar

LAHORE: The Punjab government appointed Dr Asad Zaheer as the registrar of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) on Tuesday. A notification was issued by the Punjab Health Department. Dr Zaheer has been appointed under the provisions of the UHS Ordinance 2002. He has 25 years of experience in administration, public health and hospital management. He has been associated with the UHS since the inception of the university in 2002. Dr Zaheer is a graduate of Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore. He did his MBA from the Punjab University. Before joining the UHS, he served as the director of Punjab Health Services and Jinnah Hospital in Lahore. Dr Zaheer has been serving as the head of the Planning and Development Department for the last six years.
