Successful heist: Bank robbed in Nowshera Cantt

The official said they have set up check posts at entrance and exit routes of the cantonment to arrest the culprits.

NOWSHERA: Robbers went home with a huge amount of cash after striking the Jama-e-Masjid Road branch of United Bank Limited on Tuesday. Nowshera cantonment police SHO Behroz Khan said four unidentified men came in a car, parked it near the bank and three of them entered the building. He said the robbers, brandishing pistols, first thrashed the guard and held all the bank employees hostage in the toilet. Khan said the robbers took away a large amount of cash, the exact number of which could not be ascertained till the filing of this report. The official said they have set up check posts at all entrance and exit routes of the cantonment to arrest the culprits, adding they have obtained CCTV footage of the incident and will also include bank officials in the investigation.
