Frontier Corps (FC) and Balochistan police on Monday intercepted a truck carrying a stockpile of weapons and ammunition and during a raid in Jungle Pir Alizai in the Qila Abdullah district of Balochistan.

The security personnel impounded the truck and seized its illicit cargo.

The FC Balochistan said credible intelligence has led them to conclude that Afghan intelligence National Directorate of Security (NDS) is supporting miscreants in Balochistan.

“After receiving information from the Intelligence Fusion Cell that a huge quantity of arms and ammunitions are being smuggled to Balochistan from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, the FC and police have carried out successful raids near bordering areas,” Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti told reporters. He was accompanied by senior officials of the FC.

According to the FC, police and security forces in a joint search operation recovered 100 SMGs, three G-3 pistols, 136 single-barrel shot guns and one Kalashnikov, telescopes, and thousands of bullets.
