Awami National Party’s leader Asfandyar Wali Khan has warned political forces to avoid politics of confrontation in order to steer the country out of the multiple crises it was facing.
Addressing members of the party’s provincial and central organising committees in Wali Bagh, Asfandyar Wali asked the government to take Parliament into confidence about the evolving political situation in the region in the aftermath of general elections in Iran, India and Afghanistan.
The meeting with members of the Organising Committees was presided over by Bushra Gohar, Acting President of the Party’s Central Organising Committee.
Asfandyar Wali expressed concern over the widening gulf between the state institutions as any further escalation in the situation can undermine the democratic system. ANP’s leader dubbed the one year performance of the present government disappointing as it has failed to provide relief to masses.
People are suffering under the impact of growing load-shedding, price hike and deteriorating law and order. Situation is particularly dismal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
