Enforcing the law: Six suspects arrested in separate raids

The law enforcers claimed to have arrested six suspected criminals, including alleged members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from different parts of the city on Monday.


Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed to have arrested two suspects associated with the TTP, allegedly involved in the targeted killings of police personnel. CID Investigations incharge Mazhar Mashwani said that the two TTP members, Saifur Rehman and Obaidullah, were arrested during a raid in SITE. He added that a hand grenade and two pistols were also seized from their possession. The officer said that the culprits admitted to have killed two police personnel in Sir Syed and Jamshed Town.


Separately, Special Investigation Unit (SIU) claimed to have arrested three alleged target killers.

Weapons were also seized from their possession. SIU chief SP Farooq Awan said that the arrested suspects had recently killed three people, Irshad Omar Shah, Junaid Sultan and Sattar, in New Karachi Industrial Area.

Meanwhile, a worker of a political party was reportedly detained from Garden.
