From loss to revenue: KE installs over 500 new meters
With “One Stop Shop” consumers could get on spot approval and meter installation for an upfront cost of Rs2600.
KARACHI:
K-Electric (KE) has installed more than 500 new meters in low-income localities of LERP Musharaff Colony Mauripur, Maunch Goth in Baldia and Mehmoodabad where previously residents used illegal hook connections, the company said on Monday. These were categorised as high-loss areas. “This drive was only made possible by the residents of the mentioned areas, as they welcomed KE and its team and willingly filed for applications for these low-cost new meters in Maunch Goth and Musharaff Colony.” The concept of “One Stop Shop” was executed where residents and shop owners could fill in the application and get on spot approval and meter installation for an upfront cost of Rs2600.
