Round them up: Gangsters, robbers and target-killer arrested
A political worker and a young man were killed in separate acts of violence in the city.

The police have disclosed the arrest of three members of a gang that was allegedly involved in the looting of 60 lockers that contained cash, jewellery and property documents.
A group of robbers seized the lone security guard of a locker facility of the Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) in Soldier Bazaar on April 6 and emptied all 60 lockers before leaving the place after an eight-hour long robbery.
The incident caused strong protests from the holders of the lockers, who held a demonstration outside the MCB facility and demanded the recovery of their assets.
On Sunday, district East SSP Pir Muhammad Shah held a press conference at his office and disclosed the arrest of the three members of the gang; Kashif Mehmood, Muhammad Ali and Shakeel Ahmed. The officer also claim to have recovered Rs5 million from their possession. Their arrests were made from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. The remaining five members of the gang, including the ringleader, are yet to be arrested and police officials are trying to put their names on the exit control list.
Police officials added that the accused, Mehmood, is a civilian employee of the Pakistan Air Force and has been a member of the gang for several years. Sources privy to the matter told The Express Tribune that the arrests were made around three days ago and the arrested culprits are already in police remand.
Separately, the Specialised Investigation Team claim to have arrested four culprits identified as Adnan, Ali Ahmed, Farhan and Nadeem. The arrested men were involved in various cases of robberies and street crimes.
In another raid, an alleged target killer, Syed Hassan Mehdi, was arrested from the Saudabad police remits while the Aziz Bhatti police claim to have arrested an accused, Ghulam Abbas, and have initiated further investigations.

A worker of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was gunned down in a targeted attack in Hussainabad within the limits of the Azizabad police station.
The police said that 35-year-old Ismail Hashim was shot dead when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at him as he sat at a cold drink shop in the area. The deceased was shot at multiple times and died on the spot.
The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. SHO Irfan Asif said that deceased was associated with MQM’s unit 155. In an unrelated incident, an unidentified young man was shot dead in Zafar Town within the limits of Shah Latif police station. The police said that the culprits brought the victim with them and fled after firing at him. The body was taken to the Edhi morgue for identification after the medico-legal formalities were completed at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
