Shot dead: District sports officer’s son killed
Sport's officer said they have no rivalry and his son might have been slained by militants.

The son of Bannu district sports officer was gunned down by unidentified assailants near his residence on Sunday morning. Police official Amir Rukhsar Khan quoted Bannu sports officer Anwar Rasheed Khan saying his son Haroon Rasheed was sitting outside his house around 8am when two men approached on a motorcycle and opened fire, injuring Haroon severely. He was shot thrice in the chest and was rushed to a hospital but succumbed on the way. Rukhsar speculated Haroon was killed over a personal dispute, however, Anwar said they have no rivalry and his son might have been slain by militants.
