Motives unknown: Two local leaders of PML-N shot dead

Police officials said it was too early to say if the men were killed due to their political affiliation.

Two men believed to be low cadre leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were shot dead in a village near Wah Cantt Saturday evening. According to the local police, the incident occurred in Dhok Mochian, a village on GT Road at least four kilometres away from the cantonment.


As of now, the police do not have any details of the incident except for the identity of the deceased, an official at the police station said. The deceased were identified as Babar and Javed.


The men reportedly belonged to the PML-N. SHO Raja Shakeel was at the hospital with the bodies when The Express Tribune contacted the Wah Cantt police. Police officials said it was too early to say if the men were killed due to their political affiliation.
