ISLAMABAD:
A medical board at District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Attock has confirmed that an inmate at Attock District Jail was physically tortured in jail.
Sources informed Daily Express that a few days back, the relatives of under-trial prisoner Amir Khan filed a complaint before Attock District and Sessions Judge about Khan being moved to solitary confinement after he was thrashed by jail officials.

The court directed the district medal board, led by DHQ Medical Superintendent Dr Ibrar Ahmed, to conduct a medical examination of the Khan, sources maintained.
The medical board has forwarded its report to the district judge for further action, sources added.
District medico-legal officer Dr Muhammad Ali Shah confirmed that severe torture on the prisoner was certified in the medical exam and the report has been forwarded to the court for further action.
