The assailants manage to flee after the incident.
LAHORE:
Unidentified men opened fire at Lollywood actor Meera's house in the Defence area of Lahore, Express News reported on Saturday.
The assailants managed to flee after the incident. The gate of her house reportedly bore evidence of the bullets fired.
Police reached her house soon after the incident and launched an investigation. No loss of life was reported.
Controversial video
Recently, a court had ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to investigate a case against actress Meera and her husband Captain Navid for a controversial video.
The additional district and sessions judge had passed the order after police told him that it was a case of cyber crime. Shabbir Muhammad had filed a petition on January 20 that he had watched an “immoral clip” featuring the actress and her husband that he said tarnished the image of Pakistan. He had requested the court to direct police to register a case against them and put their names on the ECL.
The court had ordered police to register a case against the two if a cognisable crime was made out. The actress had said that the video is a fake and an attempt to malign her. She had said that those who had uploaded the video on internet were trying to create problems for her.
