KARACHI:

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Haider Abbas Rizvi on Friday said acquiring a national identity card was a basic right of every citizen and no one could snatch it from Altaf Hussain.

He was speaking at a news conference in Karachi held in response to the interior minister’s news conference.

Talking to journalists, Rizvi said Nadra officials carried out the procedure for Altaf’s identity card at the party’s secretariat in London rather than the MQM chief’s residence. He also rejected the interior minister’s assertion that the picture of Altaf’s form was taken with a personal camera.
