Eight suspected terrorists affiliated with banned organisations were arrested in Lahore on Friday, Capital City Police Officer Lahore (CCPO) informed the media on Friday afternoon, adding that a significant terror plot had been averted, Express News reported.
According to the CCPO, the suspects intended to target senior journalists and important personalities.
He added that the suspects had been involved in several target killing incidents in the city.
Suicide jackets, explosive material, hand grenades and other weapons were confiscated from the suspects.
