Coordinated effort: ANF helps UK seize 200 kg heroin
Drugs were intricately woven in the threads of 46 carpets which were seized at Manchester international airport.

A bid to traffic heroin to the United Kingdom through Pakistan has been foiled after a successful tip-off by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) allowed the National Crime Agency (NCA) to intercept the drug shipment at Manchester Airport. Acting on a lead, ANF alerted its counterpart agency in the UK which managed to recover nearly 200kg of heroin. The drugs had been intricately woven in the threads of 46 carpets which were seized at Manchester international airport. UK authorities detained two suspects at the airport.
