Targeted: Two Rangers personnel shot dead

Two personnel of the paramilitary force were shot dead by unidentified men near village Tangwai, within the limits of Risaldar police station on Wednesday. The two personnel of the Shahbaz Rangers, identified as Abbas Ali and Farooq Ahmed, were deployed for the security of Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and were on routine patrol on their motorcycle when they were ambushed. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital, Kandhkot, for autopsy and were later sent to the Shahbaz Rangers headquarters in Sukkur. According to the Rangers spokesperson, Ali hails from Nankana Sahib in the Punjab and leaves behind two sons and three daughters. Meanwhile, Ahmed hails from Chachro in Tharparkar district and leaves behind a son and a widow.
