Environment friendly: PSB and PARC sign MoU to promote ‘fruit culture’

ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) signed an MoU on Wednesday in a bid to promote fruit culture by planting olives and other fruit plants on PSB grounds.

Dr Muhammad Azeem Khan from PARC and DG Akhrar Nawaz Ganjera from the PSB signed the document together.

The MoU aims to provide a healthy environment to national athletes attending national training camps as well as for those who will be participating in various sports events that will be held at the PSB grounds.


Furthermore, the MoU states that PARC will help PSB develop bio-remediation sites at streams passing through their grounds. PARC stated that it will provide technical help for managing the fruit trees planted at the grounds.

The MoU has been signed for the next 10 years.

Several dignitaries from both PSB and PARC were also present on the occasion.
