The participants included government and civil administration representatives.

KARACHI:
Only one bird hitting an aircraft can put the lives of many highly-trained aircrew members in danger, said the participants of a Bird Hazard Control Committee meeting held at the Pakistan Air Force Base Masroor in Karachi. The participants included government and civil administration representatives. The aim of the meeting was to create awareness about the high number of birds present in the airfields. Base commander air commodore Ilyas Sultan spoke at the meeting. The importance of removing garbage that attract birds was also emphasised. Karachi administrator Rauf Farooqui also addressed the participants and committed to hold a meeting of all the official departments to solve the issue.
