Anniversary : Youm-e-Ali observed
“We should follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA) to check sectarianism"

Youm-e-Ali, the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA), the fourth caliph of Islam, was observed in the city on Tuesday. Several qawwali functions were arranged to mark the occasion. Allama Hafiz Tassaduq Hussain addressed a ceremony at Imambargah Qasr-e-Batool, Allama Iqbal Town, late on Monday. A 110-pound cake was cut, followed by qawwali. “We should follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA) to check sectarianism… such qawwali functions provide the people a chance to sit together,” said Syed Misam Tamar Bukhari, caretaker of Imambargah Najaf Manzil.
