
The Islamabad Police arrested three people from China Chowk for carrying weapons and liquor during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally on Sunday. The public entry point for participants of the rally was established at China Chowk.
According to the police, the three men were nabbed by police officials on security duty for the rally.
According to the police, Siddique Ahmed, a resident of Azizkhel, Charsadda, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), was arrested for carrying a 9mm pistol with 13 rounds and two magazines without a permit.
Atif Waqar, a resident of Attock, was arrested after two bottles of whisky were found in his possession during checking.
Ali Muhammad, a resident of Shab Qadar in K-P, was arrested for carrying a dagger.
The Kohsar Police have registered cases against them and further investigation is under way, the police said.
