Ugly affair: Man shot over marriage proposal dies
Deceased's family placed his body in front of the RPO office and chanted slogans against the police.

A man who was shot 10 days ago over a marriage proposal dispute passed away on Monday. His relatives held a protest demonstration outside the office of the regional police officer (RPO) and demanded the arrest of the killers. The RPO and the district police officer ordered the Cantonment police to arrest the suspects at the earliest.
Police said Sabir Hussain, Yousaf Eesa, Arshad, Majeed, Khadim and a woman Bachal Mai were shot and injured in Lower Chabari village allegedly by Nazar, Shimla and Pir Bukhsh last week. Hussain had died instantly and the others were hospitalised with serious injuries. Yousaf Eesa passed away at the district headquarters hospital on Monday. His family placed his body in front of the RPO office and chanted slogans against the police. City Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nasrullah Warraich arrived at the scene and assured the protesters that the police would arrest the suspects soon.
