Heinous crime: Woman injured in acid attack

Rabia received burnt injuries on several parts of her body and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

FAISALABAD: A young woman was attacked with acid by her brother-in-law on Sunday. Police said Muhammad Qaisar, a resident of Hajveri Town, threw acid on Rabia Javaid, wife of his brother Muhammad Javaid, over a land dispute. They said Rabia received burnt injuries on several parts of her body and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Muhammad Amin, a neighbour, told newsmen Rabia’s husband had a property dispute with his brother. He said they often quarrelled about it. City Police Officer (CPO) Hadiar Ashraf said police had arrested Qaisar. He said Muhammad Qaisar had denied the charge.
