ABBOTABAD:

The Tehreek Suba Hazara (TSH) announced on Friday that it would be joining Pakistan Awami Tehrik’s (PAT) rally on May 11 in Rawalpindi and party workers would take part in the protest from across Hazara. TSH chief Baba Haider Zaman told The Express Tribune that PAT leader Dr Tahirul Qadri contacted him from Canada and invited his party to join its protest against the government.

Pledging TSH’s support, Baba said Qadri has supported the cause of a new province by wanting to declare all 35 divisions of the country as provinces, claiming that Qadri has promised to reiterate the Hazara province demand during the May 11 protest. Baba dispelled the notion that PAT’s protest was paving the way for military intervention, saying TSH would be the first political party to stand against martial law.
