Inaction: Demonstration against police
The demonstrators burnt tyres and blocked the road.

About two dozen people on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against Chak Jhumra police. Shah Muhammad, one of the protestors, said his daughter Haleema Bibi was killed by her husband Muhammad Khan and his accomplices some time ago. “We complained about it to Chak Jhumra police and a case was registered. However, no arrests were made and the police are advising us to settle the case.” The demonstrators burnt tyres and blocked the road. They also chanted slogans and demanded immediate arrest of the accused. Nishatabad DSP Ahmad Nawaz Shah reached the scene and pacified the protestors. Shah said Khan was in police custody but his arrest was not registered because investigations were underway.
