In broad daylight: Woman gunned down in Khyber Agency
In another homicide incident in Jamrud, the body of a grade-12 student was found in Gudar Shaga.
JAMRUD:
A woman was shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in Gudar area of Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Tuesday.
Ali Sher, an official of Jamrud’s political administration, said the wife of Zarin Jan was on her way home around 11am when two masked men on a motorbike approached and shot her dead.
According to the victim’s family members, they have no known enemies nor have they received any threats from any militant groups.
“No one knows why the woman was targeted,” Sher said, cautioning that they could not presume the woman was killed by militants.
In another homicide incident in Jamrud, the body of a grade-12 student was found in Gudar Shaga.
Sher said they received a phone call in the morning from a tribesman who spotted the body lying by the roadside. Sher and his fellow officials recovered the body and shifted it to Jamrud Civil Hospital.
The Jamrud political administration official added the initial autopsy report revealed the teenage boy had been severely tortured before being shot dead.
The deceased was identified as a Shah Jehan, son of Jabbar Khan and a resident of Sardar Kalay. He was studying at Government Commerce College, Jamrud.
