Forging bonds: UoP announces alumni gatherings
The reunions, not only create a network of former students, but also to help generate funds for deserving students.
PESHAWAR:
Following directives issued by the University of Peshawar (UoP) administration, various departments of the college have announced holding reunions to create an alumni network. The gatherings will first be held individually by each department, which will be followed by a ‘grand reunion’ at the university level, expected to be held in October. The reunions are not only meant to create a network of former students, but also to help generate funds for deserving students currently enrolled at UoP whose education could be sponsored by the alumni. “The current financial position of the university does not allow us to bear the expense of students who deserve to study free of cost,” explained Vice Chancellor Professor Rasul Jan.
