Rehabilitation: Flood victims get compensation

BAHAWALPUR: Cooperatives Minister Iqbal Channar on Sunday distributed cheques for Rs360,000 among victims of last year’s floods.

Speaking at the ceremony, he said the government had been compensating the victims for their damaged crops and houses. He said the government had always stood by people in testing times. Cheques for Rs30,000 each were handed to 12 families.
