AIOU: Office space to be provided to retired staff
A fare-well party was arranged for the retired staff of AIOU on Saturday.

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ali Asghar Chishti has announced that the university will provide office space to its retired employees for occasional sitting and get together to do their pending work.
He said this while addressing a fare-well party that was arranged for the retired staff here late on Saturday.
“This will be a rare goodwill gesture towards our retired employees for their contribution to the development of the university and promotion of education in the country. We hold them in high esteem,” said the VC.
The ceremony was arranged in honour of retired staff members including ex-registrar Hafizullah and research associate Shugufta Ibrar.
“The office-space will be made available soon on the main campus,” Chishti said.
While paying tributes to the services of the two retired employees, chairman of department of Iqbaliyat Dr Shahid Iqbal Kamran, Dr Iqbal Shah Dr Riffat Haq and Dr Badshah Shardar said they served the university in the best possible manner.
