Violent crime: Former union council nazim among two killed

Police have started an investigation by registering the complaint of Ishtiaq Ahmad.

A former union council nazim and his friend were shot dead in the area of the Balochni police station.



According to police, the former nazim Asif Bawa, resident of Chak No.61-RB, his brother Ishtiaq Ahmad, his friend Afzaal Ahmad and two others Sakhawat Ali and Naseer Ahmad were travelling in a car when four armed assailants opened fire at their vehicle near Chak No.99-RB. Bawa and his friend Afzaal Ahmad received serious injuries and died on the spot.


The other three were not injured. Police have started an investigation by registering the complaint of Ishtiaq Ahmad.


They said the motive was an old rivalry. No suspects have been arrested yet.
