Drug Dealer: Citizens protest against police inaction
An official visited the protesters and assured them that Munir Butt would be arrested soon.
FAISALABAD:
Scores of residents of Bilal Town on Friday staged a protest demonstration against police for not taking action against a man who had allegedly set fire to two huts in the area due to which two women were seriously injured.
Mumtaz Bibi, a protester, said Munir Butt was a drug dealer. “We told him not sell drugs in our area so he set fire to two huts,” she said. “We complained to the police but they did not take any action against him.”
A representative of the city police officer visited the protesters and assured them that Munir Butt would be arrested soon.
