Wheat loss: Minister takes notice of farm fire
A press release said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the incident.

Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed on Friday took notice of the fire at the Punjab Seed Corporation (PSC) farm in Khanewal that burnt wheat crop on 75 acres and deputed a three-member inquiry committee to probe the matter.
The inquiry committee headed by the additional secretary agriculture (planning) would assess the volume of wheat crop burnt, monetary loss, cause of the fire and would also fix responsibility on those who would be found negligent.
A press release of the media liaison unit of the Punjab Agriculture Department said strict action would be taken against those found responsible for the incident. The minister said wheat procurement process was underway and negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
