Sharjeel Memon questions restoration of electricity supply to Supreme Court
Minister says Abid Sher Ali disconnected supply to WASA despite SHC's decision.

Sindh local government and information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, while speaking to the media in Karachi on Wednesday, questioned why the electricity supply to the Supreme Court was restored within 15 minutes and under which law.
The supply of electricity to the apex court was disconnected on April 29 along with many other top institutions but was restored later in the day on the orders of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Memon also said that Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali disconnected the electricity supply to the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) even though the Sindh High Court (SHC) had said otherwise.
The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) had disconnected the supply to Wasa after the federal water and power minister had asked for the recovery of Rs28 billion arrears from the provincial and federal governments. The managing director Saleemuddin had filed a contempt petition and won a stay order from the SHC.
Memon further alleged that Ali did not even respect the court's decision.
