LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge sought comments from the Kahna SHO on a petition filed by a man seeking a case against his son for marrying a second time.

Petitioner Taj Khan said his son Latif had eight children from his first wife.He said Latif had not been home in several months. Khan said he had followed Latif and found him to be living with another woman.

Khan said that he had not divorced his first wife or taken her into confidence about a second marriage. Khan told the court that Latif had failed to provide a nikah nama, although he claimed he was married to the woman he had been living with.

A few days later, Khan said Latif produced a nikah nama that had not been registered anywhere.  Khan said Latif was not providing for his children. Khan said he had approached police with the complaint but the SHO concerned had not registered a case.
